Using Sonishow (updated to include Version 1.3) Sonishow is used to create the playlist of carts that are displayed in the Sonicart Selector bar. Sonishow is similar in use to Sonipack except that instead of a package being set for a single advert slot it is set for a whole show, hence Sonishow. A maximum of 10 carts can be pre-scheduled for any 1 show. Follow the step by step guide below to start making show packages. |

The MP3's that are found in that directory will be displayed in the middle pane. MP3's can previewed by clicking on the filename and then using the controls below the middle pane. To alter the playback volume etc. click the loudspeaker button. You can also choose the soundcard to be used with Sonishow in this window. If the MP3 is long, you can skip to a particular time, whilst playing, by placing the cursor over the playback progress bar. The cursor changes to an 'I' bar and displays the current playback position. Click anywhere on the progress bar to skip to that particular time. If the ID3 tag has been set incorrectly this can be edited, by clicking the 'Edit ID3 channel' button. When you're happy with the MP3 and wish to add
it to the package click the '+' button below the right-hand pane. The
ID3 title will then appear in the right-hand pane. Repeat this for however
many MP3's are to be included in the package. Multiple selections can
added to the package by using the CTRL and SHIFT keys and clicking files
( the same way as in Windows Explorer ) and then clicking the '+' button.
The order of the package can be changed by clicking on individual titles by using the up and down buttons below the right-hand pane. The title can still be previewed by clicking on it and using the controls below the middle pane. To remove an MP3 from the package, click the title and click the '-' button. To clear the entire list, click 'Clear List' If you're happy with the package, then proceed to set the Day, Start Time, End Time and Title, located in the green pane. The Day can be set to Monday through to Sunday,
Weekends, Weekdays or Everyday. Simply select from the drop down list. In the same way, select the Start and End times from the drop down lists. In Version 1.3 if the Start/End Times overlap with any shows displayed in the Shows List, the show in the list will be highlighted. The Title saved will show up at the top of the Sonicart Selector. When you add carts to your list the Title box is set to the name of the first cart by default. Simply edit it if you wish to display a different title. If the list is changed in any way, however, the Title will be reset to the name of the first cart. If you're happy that you've entered everything correctly, the click the 'Save' button. The Shows List is then updated. To confirm your list of carts, click on your show title in the Shows List and it will be displayed in the right-hand pane. Sonishow has an overlap checking feature, in that
if the time of your show package overlaps any other show package, you
will be shown a warning
message. In the example show, The Pink Palace's End Time of 11:00
overlaps The Freedom's Start Time of 10:00. If you wish to delete a show package, simply click the title in the Shows List and click 'Delete'. If the show package has been programmed for more than 1 day i.e. Weekends, select Weekends from the Day drop down list, click the title in the Shows List and then click 'Delete' Likewise for Weekdays and Everyday. In Version 1.3, you can now modify a show package
that's already been created. To add or remove an MP3 in a show package,
click on the show in the 'Shows List' then add or remove MP3s as you normally
would when creating a new show package. If you make a mistake, click the
show name again and the list of MP3s will be reset. When you're happy
with your changes, click the 'Append' button. |
